SAL - Calender Lizzie Kate: julho / July

Atrasei-me somente para mostrá-lo aqui. No SAL, ele até que chegou em dia, mas o pouco tempo que tenho tido para aparecer no blog faz com que eu o poste com quase 15 dias de atraso.

Este é o resultado de julho dos bloquinhos do SAL Calender Lizie Kate. Gostei dos legumes e da fruta no canto esquerdo, mas a referência ao mês de liberdade dos Estados Unidos... hmmm... sendo eu brasileira, ficou meio fora de contexto. Isso, sem nenhum sentimento antiamericano ou nacionalista vermelho (posso assegurar que meus tempos de faculdade de História ficaram beeeem para trás. E fora isso, não sou das mais patrióticas). Ainda assim, é esse o "preço" que se paga por SALs cujos temas são pensados por designers norte-americanos. Bom, que seja. Todo o restante do SAL é tão lindo que mal notarei, quando olhar o quadro, a referência à comemoração de uma liberdade que não me diz respeito diretamente.

The only delay is in showing it here. In the posts for the SAL, in the forum, it was just in time to get the next block, but the little time I had to show up here in the blog means that I had to post it with 15 days in delay...

This is the result of the July block of the SAL Calendar Lizzie Kate. I liked a lot the vegetables and fruit in the left corner, but the reference to the month of freedom in the United States ... hmmm ... Well, I am brazilian, so it was way out of context. This in not an anti-american sense or a kind of red nationalism (I can assure you that my time in History majors in college is waaaay in the past! And I am not an extremely patriotic person.). Still so, this is the "price" that is paid by participating of SAL whose themes are created by american designers. Well, whatever. All the rest of the SAL is so beautiful that hardly notice, when looking at the entire Calender hung in my wall, the reference to the commemoration of such a freedom that does not concern to me or my country directly.

SAL - Calender Lizzie Kate: junho / June

Dieter, o meu computador, tem andado "doente", tadinho, então, deixei o blog de lado por algum tempo. O blog e, diga-se, a internet toda, já que morro, mas não uso computadores de lan house.

De toda forma, enquanto isso, bordei este bloquinho, o de junho, no SAL Calender Lizzie Kate. Cada vez mais me afeiçoo (maldita reforma ortográfica que me dá sempre a impressão de que está faltando algo nas palavras!) a este trabalho e mal posso esperar para vê-lo pronto. Fico contando nos dedos, como criança, e, feliz, digo a mim mesma: "Agora são só mais seis meses". Ahn... er... "só". O que vale, contudo, é o prazer de bordar quadradinho a quadradinho todos os meses.

E... er... perdão, mas o frio tem me deixado um pouco preguiçosa. Nesta postagem não há fotos extra.

Dieter, my PC, has been being "sick", poor thing, so I had to set aside this blog for a little time. This blog, and, well, the web, once I prefer to die than use lan houses' PCs.

Anyway, in the meantime I stitched this June block, from Lizzie Kate Calender SAL. I've been falling in love once and again with this patterns and barely can wait to see all of them ready and done. I count in my fingers, like a child, and, happy, say to myself: "Now, it's just more six months". Er... "just". What really counts, however, is the cheerfulness of embroidering the little blocks one by one, every month.

And, er... pardon me, but the cold weather has been leting me a little lazy. There aren't extra photos for this post.

SAL - Calender Lizzie Kate: maio / May

Este é o mês de maio, no SAL Calender Lizzie Kate, organizado pelo fórum Fazendo Arte em Ponto Cruz. Até agora, foi o bloquinho mais fácil e rápido de ser bordado. Adorei a cenourinha! hahaha! Os passarinhos, as flores no regador... Tudo muito lindo, mas a cenourinha, ainda dentro da terra, pareceu-me muito fofa. Novamente, as cores são lindas, uma característica das criações da Lizzie Kate, como já disse aqui há algumas postagens.

A foto é que não fez jus ao bloquinho. Não ficou lá muito boa, a composição de objetos não foi das melhores, o olho da gente fica confuso a que objeto dar atenção. Mas a história das fotos até que é boa, sim. Pelo menos, sei que vai me provocar lembranças gostosas, confortáveis, cheias de uma sensação de beleza enevoada e amizade viva.

Depois de uma noite inteira de trabalho de revisão de texto, com um pouco de sono, tentei terminar a cercadura do bloquinho porque tinha de apresentar resultados no fórum. Mal me sentei para bordar, um amigo me telefonou chamando-me para um café em uma cafeteria próxima. Não quis largar o bordado. Sob o friozinho de outono, em ruas enevoadas, com o céu completamente azul, ensolarado, mas com a sensação de frio noturno remanescente nas plantas, no asfalto e nas calçadas, segui até a cafeteria, tirando fotos das roseiras lindas que ia encontrando pelos quintais das casas quietas, ainda adormecidas, preguiçosas de manhãzinha de domingo que mal se iniciara sob a luz desmaiada do sol outonal. Ao chegar, meu amigo ainda não estava lá. Aproveitei os instantinhos de solidão e terminei a cercadura do bloquinho. Logo depois ele assomou à porta, sorrindo e acenando, com o rosto avermelhado pelo ar frio da rua.

Tomamos um ótimo café da manhã, regado à boa conversa e risos e achei por bem tirar essas fotos (que afinal, não ficaram tão boas. Acho que era o sono chegando). Uma pena eu não ter fotografado melhor a taça de café que pedi. Chama-se café vienense, e quem quiser pode tentar fazê-lo em casa. Consegui a receita. A propósito, uma das coisas curiosas nesse café é que é quente, muito quente - de temperatura e de "alma" da bebida -, próprio para dias bem frios, mas é servido em uma taça de vinho e tomado com canudinho. A bebida fica em camadas, com cores lindas e, conforme se vai tomando, aparecem pintinhas de canela e chocolate no meio do marrom rico da mistura de café e chocolate amargo, com o creme de leite e o chantilly. O vienense na taça, ao finalzinho, foi me lembrando o solo em que a cenourinha do bloco de maio, do Calender da Lizzie Kate, está enterrada.

Café vienense

ingredientes:
100 g de chocolate meio amargo picado
4 colheres (sopa) de açúcar
400 ml de café fervente levemente adoçado
200 ml de creme de leite fresco
chantilly
canela em pó
cacau amargo (ou chocolate em pó)

modo de preparo:

Em uma panela, coloque o chocolate e o açúcar para derreter em banho-maria.

Em seguida, acrescente aos poucos o café e o creme de leite, batendo continuamente com o batedor manual até obter uma mistura espumosa.

Despeje o café vienense em 4 taças, decore com o chantilly e polvilhe com a canela e o cacau.

This is the month of May, in Lizzie Kate SAL Calendar, forum sponsored by Fazendo Arte em Ponto Cruz. Until now, this little blck was easier and quicker to be stitched. I love the little carrot! hahaha! The birds, the flowers in the watering can ... Everything is just gorgeous, but the little carrot, even within the soil, seemed so cute. Again, the colors are pretty, as all other Lizzie Kate's creations, as I said a few posts ago.

The photo does not do justice to the little block. It doesn't seem very well thought, the composition of the objects was not the best, the eye of the beholder gets confused about what object may get attention. But the story of the photos is good. At least, I know that it will breed cousy mementos full of comfort, filled with a blurred sense of beauty and friendship alive.

After a whole night of work revising texts, feeling a little bit sleepy, I tried to end the hedge of May block because I had to present some finishing work at the forum. Almost in the minut I sat on the sofa to stitch a little, a friend called me inviting me for a cup of coffee at a nearby coffee house. I did not want to drop the stitch. Under the Autumn cousy cold weather, in streets blurred, with the sky completely blue, sunny but with a chill night remaining in the plants, in the asphalt and sidewalks, I walket to the cafeteria, taking pictures of the beautiful roses that were found by the gardens of the quiet, even sleepy and lazy on the Sunday dawn that started to dislodge the night that began fainting in the light of an autumnal sun. When I got to the cafeteria, my friend was not there yet. So I took those seconds of enjoyable solitude to finish the little block. Soon after he appeared at the door, smiling and waving, his face was reddened by the cold air of the street.

We had a great breakfast, spiced by good conversation and laught. I took these photos (which after all were not so good. I think I was getting sleepy). It is a shame that I have not photographed the wonderful cup of coffee I ordered. It is called Viennese coffee, and whomever wants, can try it at home. I have got the recipe. One of the curious things about this coffee is that it is hot, very hot - the temperature and "soul" of the drink -, perfect for cold days, but it is served in a glass of wine, and to be drank with a straw. The drink is in layers, with beautiful colors and, as we drink it, little dots of cinnamon and chocolate appears in the middle of the rich mixture of coffee and bitter chocolate ,with milk cream and chantilly. As I was almost finishing my Viennense coffee, the little dots that arised remembered me the soil in which the little carrot of the May block, of Lizzie Kate's Calender, is buried.


Viennese Coffee

ingredients:
100 g of chopped bitter chocolate
4 spoons (soup) of sugar
400 ml of boiling coffee lightly sweetened
200 ml of fresh milk cream
chantilly
cinnamon powder
bitter cocoa (or chocolate powder)


method of preparation:

In a pan, place the chocolate and sugar to melt in water bath.

Then, add, little by little, the coffee and the milk cream, beating continuously with the bat manual until it becomes a foamy mixture.

Pour in 4 Viennese coffee bowls (they can be wine goblets), decorate with chantilly and sprinkled with cinnamon and cocoa powder.

Serve immediately.

SAL - Calender Lizzie Kate: abril / April

Adoro coelhos, bichinhos peludinhos e bonzinhos! E, mesmo depois de passada a Páscoa, aí está mais um; o coelho, um pintinho e um chapéu enfeitado por uma flor, todos símbolos de renascimento e primavera (menos o chapéu, eu acho...), ligados à Páscoa e ao mês de abril, desenhados neste bloquinho de um calendário divertido, imaginado pela Lizzie Kate. O que mais gosto nas criações dela é que as cores são muitas e os desenho são bem simples, facilitando muito o bordado. Este bloquinho - relativo a um dos SALs que estavam atrasados - foi bordado em três dias. Mal comecei, pronto, já o havia terminado. Ainda assim, o resultado é vistoso graças à habilidade da Lizzie Kate ao criar o bloquinho.

Na foto, vão uma coelhinha que ganhei de presente em uma dessas Páscoas e chocolates deliciosos em forma de coração que ganhei de um amigo na Páscoa deste ano. Depois da foto, notei que os chocolates têm as mesmas iniciais que eu. hahaha! Não é chique? hahaha!

Uh! A propósito, este SAL é organizado pelo fórum Fazendo Arte em Ponto Cruz, meu preferidinho.

I love rabbits, these nice and fluffy little animals! And even after the last Easter, there is one more here, the bunny, a chick and a hat ornated by a flower, all symbols of rebirth and spring (except the hat, I think...), connected to the Easter and April, drawed in this little block of a fun calendar, conceived by Lizzie Kate. What I like most in her creations is that the colors are many and the designs are very simple, making easier to stitch them. This block - of one of the SALs that were delayed - was stitched in three days. I have just started and, in a blink of eye, it was already finished. Even so, the result is birey thanks to Lizzie Kate's ability to create the little block.

In the photo, there is a bunny that I have won in one of these past Easter and some delicious heart shaped that a friend gave me for this Easter. After picturing them, I noticed that the chocolates have the same initials as me. hahaha! Isn't it classy or what? hahaha!

SAL - Calender Lizzie Kate: março / March

Este é o resultado do único SAL que consegui terminar no mês de março, o Calender Lizzie Kate. Minha yorkie amadinha, a Anne, esteve muito, muito dodói, com bastante gravidade e isso me afastou de tudo: trabalho, convívio com amigos e dos bordados, claro. A tal sorte do motivo não esteve ao meu lado no mês de São Patrício (talvez eu deva plantar alguns trevos!). Ou esteve, já que a Anne está se recuperando bem.

De todo modo, o atraso foi por isso tudo que contei. Apesar dele sei que o resultado final vai ficar lindo, sem dúvida. Decidi que só vou mostrá-lo quando estiver tudo prontinho. hehehe... Um pouco de suspense não vai fazer mal a ninguém, ou vai?

This is the result of the only only SAL I was able to end in the month of March, the Calendar Lizzie Kate. My sweetie yorkie, Anne, was severely ill, in a quite serious way and that's why I dismissed all: work, my contact with friends and, of course, stitching too. Luck, wich is in the pattern, wasn't by my side at St. Patrick's month (maybe I have to crop some trevoils!). Or it was, once Anne is recovering well.

Anyway, all the delay was for the reason I told above. However, I'm quite sure that finishing result will be beautiful, no doubt. I have decided that I'll only show the finishing results of it when everything is ready and done. hehehe... A bit of suspense won't hurt anyone, will it?
